My Fun Ski Area!
Thanks to its location at the heart of Trentino and its altitude, above 2,100 m, Paganella has always been the mountain par excellence for the people of the whole region. Visible thanks to its size from the regional capital city of Trento and from the nearby side valleys, it has been the goal of alpinists and “excursionist skiers” even in the winter since the beginning of last century. ...
Located on its slopes, Andalo and Fai are small villages that grew to become tourist destinations, especially in the winter, thanks to the significant investments made in the last decades. Paganella is today an ultra-modern skiing area comfortably reached in few minutes via ski lifts from both villages and connected strategically to both Val di Non and Valle dell’Adige. It is increasingly appreciated by Italian and foreign clientele for its beauty and accessibility. Many slopes on the two faces allow skiers the best choice according to their abilities for reaching Roda – the locality on the mountain top at 2125 m from where it is impossible not to be struck by the fantastic and unique surrounding scenery rangingfrom the Dolomiti di Fassa (including Marmolada) to the Lago di Garda which on clear days can be seen right up to the Po valley. There are many places with restaurants situated along the slopes built in the midst of thick fir forests. There are also large play and entertainment areas for kids, “first steps” and beginners run by the local skiing schools in Andalo in the localities of Rindole and Gaggia Fields (reachable by ski lifts) and at Meritz above Fai. High up towards the mountain tops there are lovely Alpine refuges where you can pause and rest between each leg of the descent.
